Nevermore Necklace

Nevermore Necklace
#66 Nevermore Necklace
The Raven- Edgar Allen Poe

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'

Back In Stock custom order- Please allow 1 week for fabrication.

Named for one of the most famous Edgar Allen Poe gothic poems, this necklace features a beautiful black raven made from polymer clay by the extraordinary Heather of Humble Beads. All somber in black ..because what else could you add to a necklace featuring a work from the dark romanticism genre...A beautiful briolette of black spinel with a dainty cluster of spinel at the top hanging under the raven.

Nevermore enters the picture with a hand cut and stamped charm I've made and slightly oxidized to make the letters and hammered edges stand out. There is another rondelle of spinel added to the charm.

This necklace hangs a little over 17 inches (43.2 cm)on a square chain of sterling silver with a sterling lobster claw clasp.
